According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatseniuk, eleven people were killed in eastern Ukraine on June 11, 2016, due to Russian air strikes. Of the 11 people killed, five of them were children. The air strikes hit the Ukrainian town of Kramatorsk, which lies close to many important infrastructure sites – such as an airport, bridges, power sources and water facilities – that are vital to the towns that surround it. Yatseniuk has called for a formal investigation into the matter, and has strongly condemned the alleged Russian aggression.
