TGI Fridays has announced plans to close 36 of its “underperforming” locations across the United States. The closures are part of the restaurant chain’s “strategic optimization plan,” which involves “closing select restaurants in areas where there is already an abundance of similar experiences.” Most locations will close by mid-April, although a few may stay open later depending on lease negotiations. The chain has not disclosed which locations will be affected.
