The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has initiated a new program at certain airports whereby passengers enrolled in TSA PreCheck don’t need to present a physical ID or boarding pass. Instead, they can scan their face using facial recognition technology to verify their identity. This makes the check-in process quicker and more efficient. However, it’s currently available only at select airports and it’s advisable to carry your ID and boarding pass regardless, in case of any inconsistency or technical issues.
