    More than 15 million Toshiba laptop adapters recalled due to fire hazards

    Yes, the recall took place in late 2020 after Toshiba received some reports of the adapters causing burns or fire hazards. It was discovered that they could overheat to the point of melting their plastic casing. Toshiba advises users who own one of the affected adapters to stop using it immediately and contact them for a free replacement adapter. The recall affects Toshiba laptop adapters with part number G71C0009S210 sold between December 2018 and July 2020.
